The Super Eagles have maintained their 26th position in the latest FIFA Men’s World Rankings released on Thursday, June 11, 2026, by the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA).
The three-time African champions held on to their spot in the global standings despite recording mixed results during the ranking period.
The Super Eagles enjoyed notable victories, defeating Zimbabwe 2-0 before cruising to a 3-0 win over Jamaica to successfully defend their Unity Cup title in England.
Nigeria also featured in two international friendlies this month. The team opened June with a 2-2 draw against Poland in Warsaw before falling to a 2-1 defeat against Portugal in Lisbon on Wednesday.
Despite those performances, the latest rankings saw no movement for the West African side. However, the Super Eagles remain the third-highest ranked team in Africa, behind Morocco and Senegal.
FIFA stated that the next edition of the Men’s World Rankings will be released on July 20, 2026.
