The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Electoral Committee has released the timetable and guidelines for the 2026 Executive Committee elections, with the sale of nomination forms set to begin on Saturday, August 1.
Under the schedule, interested candidates are expected to obtain and submit their completed nomination forms on or before Wednesday, August 12, ahead of the election slated for September 27 in Lafia, the Nasarawa State capital.
The committee said it will review all submitted documents and notify candidates of any discrepancies between August 13 and August 19. Aspirants with incomplete or irregular documentation will have from August 20 to August 27 to rectify such issues.
Screening of candidates will take place between August 27 and August 30, after which the provisional list of successful candidates will be published on August 31.
Candidates dissatisfied with the outcome of the screening process will have from September 1 to September 3 to file appeals. The Electoral Appeals Committee is expected to hear and determine all appeals between September 4 and September 10.
The final list of cleared candidates will be released between September 11 and September 12, while the official delegates’ list will be published on September 13.
Campaign activities for cleared aspirants will commence on September 14 and end on September 24, ahead of the NFF Elective Congress scheduled for September 27 in Lafia.
The Electoral Committee also announced September 30 as the deadline for the submission of election petitions.
