The race for the Nigeria National League (NNL) title begins today, Monday, May 4, 2026, as the Super Four tournament gets underway in Ikenne, Ogun State.
In the opening fixture, Sporting Lagos will take on Ranchers Bees in what is expected to be a fiercely contested encounter. The match is scheduled for a 2:00 p.m. kickoff at the Remo Stars Stadium, venue for the season-ending competition.
Later in the day, Inter Lagos will face Doma United at the same ground, with kickoff set for 4:00 p.m.
The Super Four tournament will decide the overall NNL champions, with the winners set to receive a ₦10 million prize, while each participating team is guaranteed ₦2 million as a participation fee.
As part of efforts to strengthen professionalism in the league, organisers have introduced mandatory pre-match and post-match press conferences. Each club is required to present its head coach and one player for media interactions.
Sporting Lagos and Inter Lagos will be looking to fly the flag of Lagos, while Doma United and Ranchers Bees owned by Super Eagles forward Umar Sadiq will also be aiming to clinch the title.
With all four teams already securing promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), the focus now shifts to winning silverware and building momentum ahead of the upcoming top-flight season.
