Nigeria’s captain, Rasheedat Ajibade, narrowly missed out on the Women’s Player of the Year crown, which went to Morocco’s Ghizlane Chebbak.
In the men’s category, Morocco’s Achraf Hakimi claimed the Player of the Year Award, finishing ahead of Nigeria’s Victor Osimhen and Egypt’s Mohamed Salah, ending Nigeria’s recent run of back-to-back wins.
The ceremony extended Morocco’s dominant night. Doha El Madani and U-20 World Cup winner Othmane Maamma secured the women’s and men’s Young Player of the Year awards, with Nigeria’s Shakirat Moshood finishing as a finalist.
For the third straight time, the Super Falcons were named Women’s National Team of the Year after clinching a record 10th WAFCON title in Morocco, beating Ghana and Morocco to the honour.
Newly crowned U-20 world champions, Morocco’s U-20 men’s team, took the Men’s National Team of the Year Award.
In the goalkeeping categories, Nnadozie topped Khadija Er-Rmichi and Andile Dlamini, while Morocco’s Yassine Bonou reclaimed the Men’s Goalkeeper of the Year Award ahead of Ronwen Williams and Munir Mohamedi.
CAF Champions League winners Pyramids of Egypt were voted Men’s Club of the Year, and their striker, Fiston Mayele, earned the Interclub Player of the Year Award after scoring nine goals en route to the club’s first continental title.
Cape Verde’s Bubista was named Men’s Coach of the Year after guiding the country to its first-ever World Cup qualification.

The Women’s Coach Award was not presented due to the ongoing CAF Women’s Champions League.
The night, hosted by Oualass and Angélique Kidjo, featured performances from Douaa Lahyaoui, Awilo Longomba and Fuse ODG, rounding off a ceremony dominated by Morocco’s triumphs on African football’s biggest stage.
