According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, Quenton Marselles Brown, 57, was taken into custody and booked into the Clark County Detention Center. He made his first court appearance on Thursday, where his bail was set at $300,000.
Police reports obtained by journalists indicate that the altercation began in a parking lot after Brown allegedly struck the door of a neighboring vehicle while exiting his SUV. Witnesses told police the dispute escalated, and Brown allegedly stabbed the victim multiple times, including in the back, chest, and hand before fleeing the scene.
The victim was hospitalized with serious injuries. Officers later tracked down and arrested Brown, who resides in Las Vegas.
Brown’s attorney, Arnold Weinstock, argued that his client acted in self-defense and described the bond amount as “excessive.”
