EPL Transfer: Frankfurt’s striker Omar Marmoush joins Manchester City

Manchester City have announced the signing of 25-year-old Egyptian striker, Omar Marmoush, from Eintracht Frankfurt on a four-and-a-half-year deal, keeping him at the Etihad Stadium until 2029.

Recognised as one of Europe’s most promising forwards, Marmoush brings versatility to City’s attack with his ability to operate across the frontline.

While confirming his signature, the Egyptian talisman, capped 35 times for his country, expressed his excitement at joining Pep Guardiola’s team, stating, signing for Manchester City is an amazing feeling.

Marmoush’s football journey began in Egypt with Wadi Degla before moving to Germany in 2017, where he played for Wolfsburg and later joined Frankfurt in 2023.

His 2023/24 season with Frankfurt was remarkable, after netting 17 goals in 41 appearances. This form continued into the current campaign, with Marmoush registering 20 goals and 14 assists in 26 games before his move to City.

Director of Football Txiki Begiristain praised the striker’s technical ability, pace, and versatility, saying, he is confident that Marmoush working with Manchester City Manager, Pep Guardiola will further develop his superb attacking talent.
