Nigeria’s para-badminton players, Bolaji Eniola and Chigozie Nnanna, have progressed to the quarterfinals of the event at the ongoing Paralympics in Paris after winning their second games.
Competing in the women’s singles, Eniola continued her impressive form, defeating Australia’s Celine Aurelie Vinot 2-0 ,21-8, 21-14, her second consecutive win, securing her place in the quarterfinals on her first outing at the Games.
She made a strong start in the women’s singles SL3 Group Stage by defeating India’s Kaur Mandeep and dominating from the beginning, with the game ending 21-8, 21-14 in her favour.
Meanwhile, Nnanna, striving to match Bolaji’s success a few hours later, faced Indonesia’s Fredy Setiawan in the men’s singles, where he won 2-0 ,21-12, 24-22, also his second.
