The Osun State Football Association (Osun FA) has concluded arrangements to host the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and Confederation of African Football (CAF) D Licence Coaching Course, with 40 coaches expected to participate in the programme from October 28 to 31, 2026.
The course, which will hold at Lanreleke Sports Academy, Ile-Ogbo, is aimed at improving the knowledge and technical skills of grassroots coaches through modern football coaching methods and practical training.
The NFF Head of Technical Department, Austin Eguavoen, and the Head of Coaching Education, Dr. Terry Eguaoje, are expected to lead the technical sessions, giving participants the opportunity to learn from experienced figures in Nigerian football and coaching education.
Chairman of the Osun FA, Mayor Sola Fanawopo, said the programme would help coaches improve their capacity and prepare them for greater opportunities in the profession. He described the CAF D Licence as an important step for coaches seeking to advance to higher coaching qualifications, urging participants to make the most of the opportunity.
According to the association, the 40 participants have been registered and screened ahead of the programme. The Osun FA also assured participants, instructors and other stakeholders of a well-organised course, reaffirming its commitment to grassroots football development and improved coaching standards across the state.
