The crash involving a white Toyota Hilux and a white Trailer occurred at about 10:00am in the morning.
The State Public Enlightenment Officer of the Federal Road Safety Commission, Agnes Ogungbemi disclosed this in a statement made available to newsmen today.
Ogungbemi, who spoke on behalf of the Sector Commander, T A Sokunbi, noted that the accident was caused by excessive speeding and urged drivers and road users to drive within the stipulated speed and desist from route violation.
The statement also affirmed that the driver is currently in Police custody and will be charged in court, adding that the injured victim has been taken to Mayowa Hospital in Ipetumodu, while the corpses were taken to OAUTH mortuary.
Items recovered, which include a small bag containing jewelry, a bag of clothes, and cash of five hundred and eight thousand, nine hundred naira (#508,900,) have been handed to the families of the victims.
Meanwhile, the crashed vehicles have been taken over by the Nigerian Police Force, Edun-Abon Command.
