A call has been made to the Federal government and major stakeholders in the country to take decisive steps toward scrapping or revamping the National Youth service Corps, NYSC, since it longer provides real value but exposes graduates to serious security risks.

This was part of the submission of Olawole Oladapo, the guest on Redio Afinju Yoruba programme Gbagede Oro, today, while discussing the state of the nation and other sundry issues.

According to him, the spate of kidnapping, banditry, insurgency has become a cause for concern and all hands must be on deck to tackle it.

He advised that the Federal Government and other arms of government should work in synergy with the citizenry to make progress, that way positive results would be achieved adding that they should go back to the drawing board and assess ways of addressing the challenges facing the country.

Olawole said research is vital to identify the problem and know what is required to make things work for the general good of Nigerians.
