These charges stemmed from a petition reportedly filed by Daniels’ estranged husband, Senator Ned Nwoko.
Daniels posted a video on her instagram page to share her joy, confirming her brother’s release. “And my brother is out. So, one battle down,” she said, visibly thrilled.
The Federal Capital Territory Police Command had earlier arraigned Ojeogwu before an Abuja court after receiving a petition on October 28, 2025. He was formally arraigned on November 6, 2025.
The Abuja Magistrate Court granted Ojeogwu bail on Monday, setting it at ₦5 million, with his release secured by a legal team headed by human rights lawyer Marshal Abubakar. The case has been adjourned to November 28, 2025, for further hearing.
Regina Daniels expressed her gratitude for the love and support she received during her brother’s detention. “Do you know it’s really such a big deal to be loved by so many people? Wait, can I brag about that?” she said, her voice tinged with emotion. “The kind of love I received during this period makes me emotional. I feel so good,” she said.
This development comes amid growing tensions in Daniels’ marriage. Recently, the actress had tearfully expressed her distress in a viral video, saying, “I will go back,” as she lamented her family’s struggles. The emotional outburst followed weeks of media reports about her troubled marriage to Nwoko. The senator has since denied accusations of domestic violence, attributing Daniels’ behavior to alleged drug and alcohol abuse.
