The event will be the centerpiece of the second day of the inaugural Tacha Beauty Festival, a three-day event scheduled for October 10-12 at the John Randle Centre in Lagos.
The festival will feature a wide array of activities, including beauty workshops, exhibitions, musical performances, empowerment sessions, games, and pool parties.
While she expressed her excitement, Tacha stated that the ambitious record attempt is about more than just a title.
“I will be breaking the Guinness World Record for most makeup on people by one artist. We are talking about 150 makeovers in 24 hours. A record that will put Nigeria and Africa on the global beauty map,” she noted.
The event has steered official support from the Lagos state government.
Special adviser to the Lagos state governor on tourism, Idris Aregbe, praised the initiative as a testament to Nigerian creativity and excellence.
“This is more than a record attempt. It is a statement that Nigerian creativity and excellence can compete anywhere in the world,” he said.
