According to a credible military source, the terrorists were neutralized during separate operations that successfully repelled attempted attacks on the Bita and Wulgo areas.

Among those neutralised were two top commanders identified as Abu Nazir, the Munzir of Juye, and Abu Fatima, the Munzir of Koloram.

The source said the terrorists were engaged in a fierce gun battle around the Wulgo axis, during which troops overpowered the insurgents. In addition to the casualties, troops recovered AK-47 rifles, a cache of ammunition, and six motorcycles belonging to the group.

The Defence Headquarters commended the troops for their bravery and operational success, encouraging them to maintain the momentum in the ongoing counter-insurgency campaign despite prevailing challenges.
