He made the address while speaking at 2025 Media Vision Africa training in Umuahia.


The Governor, who was represented by the Commissioner for Information, Okey Kanu, said that media practitioners should prioritize the reports that inspire confidence and not the ones that stroke fear.


While promising his administration’s continued partnership with the media in development of Abia and Nigeria, Otti cautioned the trainees in the program against applying propaganda in dissemination of their reports but to build their storylines with truth.


“I urge all media practitioners in Abia and across Nigeria to remain faithful image makers, not merchants of fake news”, he added.
