Nigerian singer, Korede Bello, has revealed why he left Mavin Records, the label founded by renowned music producer Don Jazzy.
In 2014, Bello was signed to Mavin Records. He, however, left the music label in 2021.
Speaking on his departure from Mavin Records in a recent interview, Bello disclosed that it was a period where he felt like a product that was being marketed to make money.
He said chasing the next hit song and trying to remain relevant caused him to lose sight of what matters most.
The 28-year-old said he also took a break from music to self-reflect and reconnect with his purpose.
In an interview, the singer said he is on good terms with Don Jazzy, his former label boss.
In 2022, the music star opened up about how he handles pressure from fans.
