Grammy-winning American gospel singer, Kirk Franklin, has said the concepts of marriage, giving and sexuality have been weaponised by Western Christianity.

Appearing on the ‘Funky Friday’ podcast, the ‘My Life Is In Your Hands’ crooner explained that because of the weaponisation of certain concepts in Christianity, many are fulfilling man’s dogma, thinking that they are fulfilling God’s will.

Kirk lamented that some youths are being prevented from ministering in churches because of their marital status.

He also pointed out that families also played a role in the weaponisation of marriage in society.
