The award-winning filmmaker, Jade Osiberu, has announced the birth of her first child.
Osiberu announced the good news in an Instagram post, describing the moment as life-changing and deeply spiritual.
The award-winning producer and director added that the birth of her child is a humbling and life-defining experience, noting that she feels seen and loved by God.
The 40-year-old filmmaker also revealed her child’s name Morarooluwa Jaiyeoba, and disclosed that she actually had the child on August 8.
She accompanied the announcement with a heartfelt prayer for wisdom, favour, peace, and divine protection.
“08/08/2025 – My life changed forever. God said in your 40th year, I will complete you. God really does make all things beautiful in his time,” she wrote.
“I have been on many journeys in my life but the journey to becoming a mother has been the most humbling and life defining. God has shown me so much mercy and favor… To say I feel seen and loved by God would be an understatement…
“I feel like his favorite child. Morarooluwa Jaiyeoba, may the Lord bless you, may the Lord keep you. May the Lord make you wise, may He show you which way to go and watch over you.

“May the Lord grant you favour and give you peace. May the Lord be happy with you and may you rest in His love. He will sing and be joyful about you.”
Osiberu is widely known for her work on critically acclaimed Nollywood projects, including ‘Isoken’, ‘Sugar Rush’, ‘Brotherhood’ and ‘Gangs of Lagos’ and is regarded as one of the leading voices in contemporary Nigerian cinema.
Osiberu got married on May 11, 2019, in Sagamu, Ogun.
