The fight broke out during boarding at Asaba International Airport and caused panic among passengers before crew members intervened, causing both men to be removed from the aircraft and handed over to airport security.

According to report, the clash was linked to a long-running online feud between the two.

In separate videos posted on social media, VeryDarkMan took responsibility for the disruption and apologised to passengers and crew, admitting he acted irresponsibly. Mr Jollof also apologised, insisting he was only defending himself and promising such behaviour would not recur.

United Nigeria Airlines said it expects both men to honour their commitments to maintain proper conduct onboard. The airline restated its support for efforts to curb unruly passenger behaviour and urged travellers to cooperate with aviation personnel.

The national aviation authority condemned the incident, warning that such actions pose safety risks and could attract criminal penalties.
