Princess made the urgent appeal during a live Instagram session on Saturday, November 15, 2025, expressing her concern over the actor’s release. She said, “I urge the Lagos State Government and the Department of Justice to please include his name on the sex offenders register. I will be awaiting an update on this matter.”
Addressing rumors that Baba Ijesha had been pardoned, Princess clarified that the actor had completed his full prison sentence. “No matter how much it hurts me, I have not hidden any information. Baba Ijesha is a convict, nobody freed him,” she explained. She also expressed some relief, stating that schools, landlords, and the public are now aware of his crimes.

Princess posted a video in which she adopted a caricatured version of herself to raise awareness about child abuse. In the video, she said, “Hi, my name is Princess, and I believe that children should be loved, protected, and provided for. If you know any child who has been abused whether mentally, physically, or sexually, please DM me at Princess Damilola Foundation on Instagram. We need to look out for ourselves.”
Baba Ijesha was released from prison following a recent Court of Appeal ruling that overturned his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. The actor had been sentenced to 16 years in prison in July 2022 after being found guilty on multiple charges, including indecent treatment of a child and sexual assault. He was accused by Princess of sexually abusing her 14-year-old foster daughter, with CCTV footage allegedly capturing him fondling the minor.
The news of Baba Ijesha’s release was first shared on social media by fellow actor Yomi Fabiyi on Friday, who posted a series of updates on the case, including the message: “You are now officially FREE AND OUT. Baba Ijesha is not just back, but BETTER.” A viral video on Saturday also showed Baba Ijesha sitting in a vehicle shortly after his release, where he expressed relief and stated that he needed rest.
