In a statement posted to his official X account, the 64-year-old lawmaker representing Delta North Senatorial District denied the allegations, accusing the 25-year-old actress of violent behavior and substance dependence.
The controversy erupted after a video surfaced on social media Saturday, in which Daniels alleged that Nwoko physically assaulted her. The video quickly went viral, sparking public concern and debate. Daniels and Nwoko married in 2019 and have two children together.
Describing Regina’s actions in the video as “an act of unprovoked carnage and rampage,” Nwoko claimed her behavior is unlike how she had been in the past.
“Her current battle with drugs and alcohol abuse is the root of our problem,” he wrote. “She must continue her rehabilitation program, or I fear for her life and safety.”
Nwoko said Daniels had moved to a location where she has “unrestricted access to drugs,” adding that her substance abuse poses a threat to herself and others.
“I have other wives, and none will ever accuse me of violence. Regina is the violent one here, slapping and hitting three staff in the past 48 hours and destroying property, including cars and windows,” he alleged.

The senator further claimed that Daniels threatened to kill the family’s resident nurse for allegedly exposing her drug use. He also accused Sammy West popularly known as Daniels’ brother of being her drug supplier.
The situation continues to unfold on social media, with public opinion deeply divided. Legal experts suggest that both parties may need to consider formal mediation or legal proceedings to address the increasingly volatile public dispute.
Neither Daniels nor her representatives have issued an official statement or taken legal action as of the time of this report.
