The agency ordered his immediate arrest for retaining official EFCC property, including an identity card, following his dismissal for certificate forgery.

In a statement released on Sunday, the EFCC said Folarin, who worked as a driver at its Ibadan Zonal Directorate, was recently dismissed from service over certificate forgery.

“The attention of the EFCC has been drawn to the appearance of one of its dismissed staff, Olakunle Alex Folarin, on a matchmaking programme running on Lege Miami’s social media platforms,” the statement read.

The commission explained that despite his dismissal, Folarin unlawfully retained official documents and an identity card belonging to the agency. EFCC Chairman, Ola Olukoyede, has since directed his immediate arrest.

“Folarin was dismissed for certificate forgery. He was a driver at the Ibadan Zonal Directorate of the EFCC. The Executive Chairman has ordered his arrest for being in possession of Commission’s property, including an identity card, which he failed to return after dismissal.

“The public is strongly advised not to associate his post-dismissal conduct with the EFCC.”
