The tragic incident was confirmed by an eyewitness identified on social media, who recounted that the victims were engaged in a car race on the expressway before the crash.

According to the eyewitness, “They left the show and started racing on the express, trying to overtake other cars,” she wrote in a post. “Why race on the highway? May their souls rest in peace. SPEED KILLS.”

Videos of the fatal crash, which reportedly involved more than four vehicles, have since gone viral online, sparking grief and outrage from social media users.
