There is a heavy police presence at the national headquarters of the Peoples Democratic Party in Abuja, as armed officers have been deployed ahead of the party’s key National Executive Committee meeting today.
A party official, who spoke to newsmen, noted that the police were sent to prevent the proposed Expanded Caucus Meeting from taking place.
Some staff members of the party were allowed to go into the premises of the secretariat without any resistance from the police.
The policemen were seen surrounding Dalaba Street, which is the road leading to Wadata Plaza.
