The protest broke out while the party’s National Working Committee was meeting at the party’s headquarters.


As of the time of finding this report, the reason for the protest is still sketchy.
Meanwhile,it was reported that journalists present outside the party’s secretariat were assaulted by security operatives attached to the office.


Eyewitness reported that the crisis is not unconnected to the planned imposition of former Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai on the party’s leadership. Recall that El-Rufai had recently defected to the SDP.
