According to reports, Burna Boy was captured in a now controversial video on social media abruptly exiting the stage after assaulting a fan who tried to touch him at the 2025 Lagos Countdown concert.
Reacting to the incident online, many users criticized the musician and tagged him as the most arrogant Nigerian artiste.

Addressing the controversy in an Instagram story, Burna Boy stated that he has Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, PTSD, which is characterized by failure to recover from witnessing or experiencing a terrifying event.
The singer warned his fans not to ever jump on his stage.
He said it was a free show, he was supposed to do 10 minutes but did almost one hour, adding that everybody knows his rule about getting on stage and startling him when he’s performing.
