It was gathered that the first road accident occurred at midnight on Thursday at Idi-Ose Bus Stop on the new Ibadan/Oyo expressway in the Akinyele Local Government Area of the state, in which one person died.
Another accident occurred at midnight on Friday, at the front of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Limited Filling Station on Ojoo/Iwo-Road, in the Ibadan North East Local Government Area, which claimed five lives.
Eyewitnesses told newsmen that the victim of Thursday’s accident was a motor boy who sat at the back of the trailer with cows, and suddenly, the trailer veered off the road, which led to his death. While on Friday, the accident reportedly involved a commercial Nissan Micra car carrying five passengers, which collided with a long truck.

The state Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Commission, Rosemary Alo, confirmed both accidents and the number of casualties in Ibadan.
She disclosed that 12 people were involved in the accident at the NNPCL area, adding that “five people died, one injured and six escaped unhurt.
The state sector commander added that police had taken the injured victim to Metrol Hospital before the arrival of road safety personnel, adding that the accident vehicle had been towed to Akobo Police Station, Ibadan.
She, therefore, admonished motorists to avoid route violations.
