Gunmen have attacked Ora community along the Osun–Kwara boundary, abducting a retired Customs officer, Emmanuel Owolabi, and killing a village chief during the incident.

Residents said the attack caused panic in the community as the assailants fled into the bush with the abducted victim.

Owolabi’s wife, Titilayo, said the abduction occurred outside their residence on Akisa Road after gunmen opened fire, stressing that one of the attackers entered their compound, assaulted her, demanded money, and later escaped as her husband was taken away on a motorcycle.
