The artsist disclosed in an interview that he was raised in a Christian household, as that was the religion of his parents and the environment he grew up in. However, he made a conscious decision later in life to embrace Islam.

“I was a Christian growing up, but that’s because that’s what your parents believe and that’s what you’re born into,” Burna Boy shared. “Then, I converted to Islam. I’ve studied it all, but I’m still out here trying to figure out what is really going on, you know? The more I look into different belief systems, the more confused I get.”

Despite the change in his faith, Burna Boy remains open-minded, acknowledging the complexity of spiritual truth and the challenges of finding clarity.
