In a statement issued in Abuja, the Fund said the portal would be accessible for a limited period, urging institutions to take full advantage of the opportunity. The verification is part of the ongoing 2024/2025 student loan application process.
NELFUND warned that failure to complete the exercise within the window will lead to disqualification from the current loan cycle, thereby denying students from non-compliant institutions access to the scheme.

The Fund also disclosed plans to publish a list of defaulting institutions in the interest of transparency and accountability, reaffirming its commitment to equitable and inclusive access to higher education.
