This comes as a reaction to the case of a content creator who lost his wife and was criticised for posting online shortly after her passing.

The creator explained that staying active online was necessary to provide for his three children.

Leo questioned the moral basis for judging how others grieve, emphasising that everyone experiences loss differently.

He also emphasised the need for empathy, especially toward those balancing grief with financial responsibilities.

He stated that “This man creates content with his wife, and now she has passed away, leaving him with three children. Nigerians are telling him to go offline to mourn, but he’s saying he needs to stay online to provide for his family. Who are you to dictate how someone should grieve after losing a loved one”

The content creator’s followers, including a widower, shared their own experiences of being judged by others for how they handled their grief.
