In a statement issued via social media, army spokesperson Avichay Adraee urged civilians to move to the Al-Mawasi area, describing it as a safer zone where thousands had already sought refuge.

“Take this opportunity to move early to the Al-Mawasi humanitarian zone and join the thousands of people who have already gone there,” the message read.
