According to a statement released on the RRS social media page, one suspect was arrested last Wednesday in Oshodi area while reportedly carrying a locally made pistol and two live rounds of ammunition. The arrest was based on intelligence gathered by the RRS.

In another development two suspects, 25-year-old Kazeem Oyebola and 35-year-old Olamilekan Babalola, were caught loading six Ford Escape tyres, rims, and other vehicle parts into a Suzuki minibus near Otedola Bridge.

It was gathered that they had been hired to transport the items to Agege.
Investigation also revealed the parts were allegedly stolen from vehicles parked at a nearby mechanic workshop. Two other suspects reportedly fled the scene and are currently being sought by the police.

RRS Commander, Shola Jejeloye, reaffirmed the squad’s commitment to apprehending all parties involved, adding that the arrested suspects are cooperating with ongoing investigations.
