The Commissioner for Higher Education, Isah Abubakar Tunga, disclosed this while addressing at a press conference in Birnin Kebbi.


He stated that the gesture reflects the governor’s firm commitment to revitalising the state’s tertiary education sector.


“Prior to the new approval, the monthly cash allocations stood at N2 million for Adamu Augie College of Education, Argungu, N1.5 million for the College of Health Science and Technology, Jega, N2 million for Kebbi State Polytechnic, Dakingar and N5 million for the College of Advanced and Legal Studies, Yauri,” he stated.


He announced that, as from May 2025, His Excellency, Comrade Nasir Idris, has directed that each of the four institutions receive N10 million monthly.
