The incident occurred at Orita Mokola Junction, Seedu Sabarumu, Sango in Saki Local Government Area.


Special Adviser to Governor Seyi Makinde on Fire Services, Maroof Akinwande, confirmed the rescue.
Akinwande said the girl was found and handed over to a police team led by CSP Odunbanjo Kehinde for further action.


He added that CFM Adediran Jacob entered the well and successfully brought the child out.


While the cause of the incident is still unknown, Akinwande said the Fire Service’s investigation team is working to uncover what happened.


He also urged residents to cover their wells and septic tanks properly to prevent similar accidents.
