The event, initially scheduled to take place at the BK Arena in Kigali, has been relocated after an internal review by ITTF-Africa. The governing body cited unforeseen circumstances affecting Rwanda’s capacity to host the championships as the reason behind the decision.

Kigali had been poised to further cement its growing reputation as a regional hub for international sporting events. However, the swift intervention by ITTF-Africa ensures the continent’s premier table tennis competition remains on firm ground.

The new host venue, the Salle Omnisport de Radès, brings with it a rich history in African sports. Tunisia’s proven track record in staging major continental events adds further credibility to the move, with the North African nation widely regarded as one of the continent’s most reliable sporting hosts.

The relocation marks a critical pivot, preserving the integrity and momentum of Africa’s flagship table tennis event.
