The military said the assaults happened between midnight and early morning in Dikwa, Mafa, Gajibo, and Katarko. The soldiers reportedly fought back strongly, supported by air strikes, and inflicted heavy losses on the attackers.
According to military spokesperson Lt.-Col. Sani Uba, several terrorists were killed and many others injured. Troops recovered dozens of weapons, including 38 AK-47 rifles, machine guns, RPGs, and large amounts of ammunition.
Intelligence reports showed that some attackers came from the Cameroon axis and the Timbuktu Triangle. A few soldiers were injured but are in stable condition.

Despite drone and RPG attacks that caused fires in some locations, the military maintained control of all positions. The Defence Headquarters praised the troops for their bravery and commitment to defending the country.
