The upcoming 13-track project marks Savage’s first full-length studio release since Celia in 2020, ending a five-year break from major solo releases. Known for her powerful voice and genre-defining sound.

Announcing the album via her social media page, Savage revealed that the project was recorded across Nashville, London, and Lagos, and features a stripped-back, deeply personal Afrobeats sound.

“This album is my story, so I kept the features limited,” she shared during a fan Q&A. “I wanted you all to feel me in every song. The few features I chose were very intentional, people who understood the vision and could add to the message without taking away from its intimacy. It’s less about numbers and more about connection,” she said.

Notable appearances on the album include UK rapper Skepta and fast-rising Nigerian artist Taves.

Savage explained that This One Is Personal reflects her own journey over the past five years, a period marked by career evolution, motherhood, and self-discovery.

Fans around the globe have taken to social media to express their excitement, with the hashtag #ThisOneIsPersonal gaining traction as listeners engage with Savage’s behind-the-scenes stories and track breakdowns ahead of the album’s release.
