The directive follows a deadly attack by Boko Haram insurgents in Darajamal, Bama LGA of Borno State, which claimed the lives of civilians and soldiers.

Vice President Kashim Shettima, in a condolence message, described the incident as a profound national loss. He expressed sympathy to the government and people of Borno State, and assured them of the Federal Government’s continued support.

“We are confident justice will be served for the bereaved families,” Shettima said, reaffirming Tinubu’s commitment to strengthening the Armed Forces with additional drones and modern equipment.

Shettima also noted that the Federal Government is considering the creation of state police, stressing the need for specialized units with local knowledge to tackle security threats effectively at the grassroots.

Borno State Governor Babagana Umara Zulum had earlier visited the affected community to commiserate with families of the victims.
