An Oyo State High Court sitting in Ibadan, the state capital, has granted bail to Queen Naomi Silekunola, the former wife of the Ooni of Ile-Ife, Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi; the proprietor of Agidigbo FM, Oriyomi Hamzat and the principal of Islamic High School, Bashorun, Ibadan, Abdullahi Fasasi.

It was gathered that the trio were granted bail by Justice Kamorudeen  Olawoyin today after the judge had listened to the arguments of their counsels.

Recall that the three were being prosecuted over a stampede that occurred on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at Islamic High School, Bashorun, Ibadan, where no fewer than thirty-five children died during the incident.

An Oyo State Magistrate Court in Iyaganku had ordered that the trio be remanded at the Agodi Correctional Facility.
