He addressed this in a post on his social media story, the songwriter revealed he has turned down multi-million naira endorsement deals and personally funds his shows due to his religious practices.
Spyro stated that he rejected the lucrative deals because they were “anti-Christ”. He further explained that he has been financing his own concerts because “no brand wants to associate with me,” linking their reluctance to his open advocacy for his faith.
The 27-year-old artiste expressed that the greatest opposition he faces comes from an unexpected source: fellow Christians whom he considered family.
“Let me be vulnerable with you guys here today, The biggest temptations I have had has been within the last two years of my life knowing I can afford some certain lifestyle and can also get away with many things yet choosing not to,” he wrote.
“So when people call me names and call me hypocrite,I just smile, how can I be acting perfect when I know I am far from it, I have my struggles I have considered giving it all up several times but when I think of what JESUS himself went through just for me It renews my strength, he added”.
