Simon, who joined Paris FC this summer after a successful spell at Nantes, struck in the 58th minute to level the score at 2-2. He latched onto an assist from Ilan Kebbal, finishing calmly to register his debut goal for the club.
Marseille had earlier taken control of the match through a Mason Greenwood penalty and a clinical strike from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. Kebbal’s goal before halftime gave Paris FC hope, before Simon’s equalizer sparked fresh optimism after the break.
However, momentum swung back to the hosts shortly after Simon was substituted for Jean-Philippe Krasso in the 64th minute. Aubameyang restored Marseille’s lead, while Pierre-Emile Højbjerg and Robinio Vaz added late goals to seal the victory.
The result leaves Paris FC still searching for their first point of the Ligue 1 campaign after two matches. Despite the defeat, Simon’s lively display and debut goal will be a positive sign as he looks to inspire the club in their battle for survival this season.
