In a statement issued by his Press Officer on Local Matters, Abdulganiyu Abdulqadir, Saraki described the exercise as a testament to the PDP’s commitment to internal democracy, fairness, and inclusiveness.


“The PDP has once again demonstrated that it is a party that ensures a level playing field and upholds the will of the people,” Saraki said. “The maturity displayed throughout the Kwara congresses reflects the national character of our great party.”


Saraki noted that the peaceful and transparent conduct of the congresses had further positioned the PDP as a credible alternative to restore good governance in Kwara and at the national level.


He commended party delegates, aspirants, and stakeholders for their unity and sense of purpose, describing the outcome as evidence of the PDP’s resilience and organizational strength. He also acknowledged the role of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, security agencies, and the media in ensuring a smooth and credible process.

Addressing the newly elected local government party executives, Saraki urged them to see their emergence as a call to service and to collaborate with stakeholders to strengthen the party’s grassroots presence.


“The success recorded in Kwara is not just a win for the state chapter but also a signal of growing public confidence in the PDP as a party of hope ahead of the 2027 general elections,” he added.
