MAN said the policy, which directs producers to end the production and sale of such beverages by December 2025, contradicts earlier agreements reached with industry stakeholders.
The group argued that the ban would harm indigenous manufacturers, reduce capacity utilization in the food and beverage sector, and threaten the livelihoods of more than 500,000 direct and 5 million indirect workers.
According to MAN, independent government-backed studies have not found evidence that minors are major consumers of sachet alcohol. It added that manufacturers already support campaigns promoting responsible drinking.

The association warned that outlawing regulated sachet drinks could instead encourage the spread of illicit and unsafe alcohol, undermining both public health and the economy.
