Famurewa, who made this appeal while featuring on Rédíò Afínjú’s current affairs program ‘Gbagede Ọrọ’, stated that the attempted assassination of him and the Executive Director, Project Implementation, Federal Housing Authority, Remi Omowaiye, was perpetrated by members of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, stressing that PDP launched the attack.

He noted that PDP members were seen at the entrance of the Local Government Secretariat against the Court Order when they could have gone to their Party Secretariat for any kind of political meeting or briefing.

He recounted that barricades were mounted at the Aladiye junction axis of the town with an attack from the Chief Whip of the Osun State House Assembly, Olawale Akerele, telling him to stand well for an unknown reason. He did not forget to mention that his luxurious bus was also smashed with a stick by one Taiwo Aawe.

While expressing his condolence to the lost souls, Famurewa explained that the deceased despite being PDP members, are his kinsmen and loyalists, adding that they grew up together.
