PDP National Chairman Tanimu Turaki (SAN) has denied claims that the party is divided, saying the Peoples Democratic Party remains fully united.
Turaki said this after 29 state chairmen met with the National Working Committee in Abuja and confirmed its authority.
He noted that PDP governors supported the Ibadan convention that produced him and other NWC members for a four-year term.
The PDP National Chairman dismissed the actions of allies of FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, who insist Mohammed Abdulrahman and Senator Samuel Anyanwu are still Acting National Chairman and Acting National Secretary.
Turaki said all steps taken by the NWC were done with the support of state chairmen and that their cooperation is key to the party’s success. He stressed that with almost all chairmen present, the idea of a faction “does not hold.”

He also promised to return the party to the people and criticised the APC-led government, saying it has set Nigeria back.
Turaki added that the PDP aims to regain power in 2027 and “take Nigeria to the promised land.”
