Adelore said that his resignation takes effect from July 7, 2025.

He noted that he resigned from his position due to alleged imposition and intimidation.

It was gathered that the resignation of Adelore is coming a few weeks before the bye-election to fill the vacant position for the Ibadan North Federal Constituency seat.

Akinremi, who was serving his second term in office, was elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC.

Our correspondent reports that the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, had announced that the bye-election will be held in August to fill the vacant position.

Adelore, in the resignation letter addressed to the Oyo State PDP Chairman, cited what he described as deep-seated injustice within the party.
