Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has officially resigned from the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, with immediate effect.

The spokesperson to the Governor, Mallam Olawale Rasheed disclosed this after a letter signed by the governor was addressed to the PDP Chairman for ward 2, Sagba Abigunde of Ede North Local Governmnet, Osun State.

According to the letter, Adeleke resigned due to the current crisis within the national leadership of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP.

“I thank th People’s Democratic Party for the opportunities given to me for my elections as a Senator (Represented Osun West) and as Governor of Osun State under the People’s Democratic Party”.

The letter also noted that Governor Adeleke had resigned from the People’s Democratic Party since November 4th, 2025.
