Speaking at the APC general meeting on Wednesday, Adeniyi urged party members to intensify grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2026 Osun governorship election and Tinubu’s expected re-election bid in 2027.
He lauded the President’s efforts through the Renewed Hope Ward Development Programme, RHWDP, which is designed to empower 1,000 beneficiaries in every ward across the country.
“I must caution our leaders at all levels to ensure that the scheme reaches the poorest of the poor, the elderly, persons with disabilities, and committed party members,” Adeniyi said. “This initiative must not be hijacked for personal interests. It is the people’s right and must fulfill its intended purpose.”
Adeniyi also appealed to party stakeholders to prioritise peace and unity ahead of the party’s 2026 gubernatorial primary election.
“We must embrace peaceful coexistence before, during, and after the primaries. Only by speaking with one voice can we secure victory and deliver good governance,” he stated.

During the meeting, Adeniyi declared his intention to contest for the House of Representatives seat in 2027, citing inadequate representation as a key reason for his decision.
“Our constituency deserves better,” he said. “With the right leadership and my agenda, we can achieve real progress. This is the era of inclusive governance where the voices of the youth, women, and the elderly are not just heard, but reflected in action.”
He promised a people-centered approach if elected, pledging to leave no group behind in the quest for sustainable development.
