Galatasaray struck first in the 20th minute through Colombian centre-back Davinson Sánchez, who powered in a header from a Gabriel Sara corner to give the hosts early control at Rams Park.

Osimhen doubled the lead in the 65th minute with a signature leap and bullet header, meeting a floated cross with precision to beat the Rizespor goalkeeper. It was his second goal in as many games, further evidence of why Galatasaray broke the bank to bring him from Serie A to Istanbul this summer.

Rizespor pulled one back in the 73rd minute through Dal Varesanovic, briefly silencing the home crowd and threatening a comeback. But Mauro Icardi put the result beyond doubt in stoppage time, converting a smart assist from Barış Alper Yılmaz in the 92nd minute to secure all three points.

The win keeps Galatasaray top of the Süper Lig table with 12 points from four matches, a statement start to their title defence.
