Nigeria’s Bright Osayi-Samuel has been handed a one-match suspension by the English Football Association after receiving his fifth yellow card of the season.
The right-back was booked early in his club’s 1-0 win over Preston North End, which triggered the automatic ban under FA rules. His previous cautions came in games against Ipswich Town, Blackburn Rovers, Stoke City, and Swansea City.

Osayi-Samuel joined the Championship side on a free transfer from Fenerbahce and has become a regular starter, making nine appearances so far.
He started the Preston match in place of Patrick Roberts, who was injured during warm-up, but was later substituted to protect his fitness. The defender will now miss his team’s next league fixture.
